Duality is at the heart of JOSEPH, and this becomes the inspiration for the Autumn collection. Ideas of masculine and feminine, French chic style and classic British heritage, structured and soft outerwear, fluid silks and glossy leathers or second skin cashmeres and textured hand knits.

Continuing the emphasis on simplicity and ease, elevated by modern cuts, luxurious fabric and bold colour, the silhouette is elongated but defined at the waist, with garments cut close to the body. An urban uniform is constructed from the basis of menswear tailoring, a classic silk shirt and a pleated skirt. The sharp lines of tailoring contrast with fluid silk pieces.

The tones and fabric of transitional pieces draw inspiration from the notion of the idealised Parisian woman – silk shirting, pleated skirts and dresses in shades of peony, rose and ganache, slimming shift dresses in cognac leather.

For the later delivery, fabrics are warmer, with a British flair: suiting in Prince of Wales check and wool tweeds, voluminous coats and capes, including the outsized logo cape, in doublefaced wool cashmere blend, an ultra-polished leather and sheepskin sleeveless coat. The earthy tones of moss green, brick and fox are inspired by the English countryside.
