JOSEPH is committed to responsible practice across all areas of its business. Ethical and sustainable sourcing is a vital part of this commitment.

The Ethical Charter sets out the minimum standards that we require our suppliers and their affiliates to uphold, in order to trade with JOSEPH.

JOSEPH will enforce these standards through regular inspections of supplier facilities by our own employees and third-party auditors. If a supplier fails to comply to the minimum standards agreed to in this Ethical Charter, JOSEPH reserves the right to end any business relation or contract, if no agreement or plan of action has been found to rectify the situation.

JOSEPH is deeply committed to principles and practices that ensure the highest standard of animal welfare is adopted in our supply chain. These principles form part of our Ethical Charter.

FUR

With effect from the Summer 2020 collection, JOSEPH will not procure, manufacture or buy any real fur from rabbit (angora), fox, mink, racoon, coyote, beaver and chinchilla.

EXOTIC SKINS

JOSEPH will not procure, manufacture or buy exotic skins.

The Modern Slavery Act 2015 sets out the steps that the JOSEPH Group has taken and is continuing to take to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain. Our annual statements are available below.

At JOSEPH we employ over 300 people worldwide and our employees are fundamental to our global success. We are proud of the diversity across our teams. We employ people from a wide range of backgrounds, nationalities and ages.

Through 2019 and beyond, JOSEPH is committed to supporting charities and causes close to the company and our customers hearts.

Members of the JOSEPH Charity Committee, formed in 2020 with JOSEPH employees, work together to implement and execute activities supporting the chosen causes. They donate their time, building on the commitments from the business.

JOSEPH aims to inspire and empower women. We believe in the transformative power of confidence. We have chosen two partner charities who share these values and beliefs. These incredible charities help women re-connect with their self-confidence, gain independence and provide practical tools to help them reach their full potential.

SMART WORKS

We are proud to support Smart Works, a UK charity who provide clothing and coaching to aid unemployed women back into the workplace. As well as donating clothing, JOSEPH takes part in activities such as ‘Cycle for Smart Works’ the annual fundraising challenge.

I CHOOSE FREEDOM

I CHOOSE FREEDOM dedicates its endeavours to changing the lives of women and children fleeing abuse. Since being founded in 1984, it has provided safety and freedom to over 2000 women and 3000 children.
