For Autumn, JOSEPH draws on the heritage of the house and the savour faire of its atelier team to create a collection of effortless staples made for city living. Inspired by a harmonious clash of modern cultural influences, from American minimalist art to the Parisian cafe lifestyle, it moves from easy everyday staples in cotton, leather and silk through to elegant outerwear and tailoring in light double face wool.
A versatile palette of monochrome and neutrals - oat, slate and black - is punctuated with vibrant gingko and hass avocado. Signature JOSEPH motifs such as the check are revisited, incorporating geometric art forms and translating them into an understated tartan across modern knitwear silhouettes.
Stripes appear as bold contrasting edging on dresses and skirts in heavy silk crepe and jersey.
The craftsmanship of the atelier is honoured in details featured throughout, including manually constructed grid patterns created with pin tucks and double face techniques.
