Artist Kai Lawrence’s Single Argus feathers are made from the secondary wing feathers of the Argus Pheasant. The bird, Kai tells us, is native to Indonesia and will naturally shed these beautiful feathers. The name Argus comes from the Greek word meaning ‘many eyes,’ which, if one looks closely, are visible in the feather’s natural pattern. These pieces are made using coloured and gold plated Japanese glass seed beads and white deerskin, in a traditional Peyote style.
The Kai Lawrence feathers (pictured) will be exclusively available through VIP Corner at Joseph, 77 Fulham Road.
